Four Cruisers:       Contre-Amiral Edie, Libby, Rod  and Bobtheolderchap ran from the Centre on a cold, rainy, dark night, C-A Edie to Underhill and Broadway only since she had not run in Paris, the other three to IGA and return, their time 1.11.  Rod ran well, having fuelled his body at home before he ran.
Excuse me, you go away for 10 days and they forget you ran all the way to IGA with them.  I think the captain drank the beer before the run!

Contre-Amiral (French for Rear Admiral)  Edie, flew home Sunday night from her nine-day sojourn in Paris with two of her women friends.  C-A Edie reported she had a great time, enjoyed many attractions in Paris, including Tina Turner, 70 years old, on stage where she wowed her audience.  Edie presented Rod and the undersigned with gifts from neighbouring Belgium; no, not Belgian lace or Belgian chocolate, or even a picture of the legendary detective M. Poirot, but twin Belgian blondes, named Leffe from Brussels; full-bodied but compact, 6.6% alcohol by volume, a golden liquid, queen of beer, not at all like that (phooey) Budweiser.  Bob’s blonde was enjoyed to the full with his dinner of chicken, potatoes, vegetables and gravy Monday at home apres the run.  Merci beaucoup, Madame, sorry, Contre-Amiral Edie, for the thoughtful gift.  It truly was a wonderful experience!  .
