Nine Cruisers were active on the weekend in various activities or competitions.  On Saturday morning Carla, Larry and Tracy snowshoed at Cypress for three hours until noon under cloudy and snowy conditions.  The trail surfaces were hard-packed snow making the trio work harder than the last time up the hill.  Rod and Bobtheolderchap ran from the Centre to the IGA corner and return, time out, 1.06, distance 9.56 km;  Norman and Laurie Hilborn, plus her daughter Ann, ran the Dave Reed Classic 5 km run on Saturday.  Norman’s report follows: 
 
Hi Cruisers,
I finished my 5K race in 21:01.5, pace 4:13/km,  91st out of 226 runners!  My mile split was 6:27.  10/17 in my age group.
The weather was cloudy and about 8 celsius.
Also, I won another draw prize, a Timex Ironman watch!!
It was a good race with respectable results. It started to rain after the race was over. The race took place at Stanley Park near Lumberman’s Arch.
