Ten Cruisers  met at Rocky Point Saturday on a salubrious morning around 8.15, some having carpooled from the Centre.  Six runners: RA Edie, Gina, Larry, Rod, Shiraz and Bobtock  ran 14.2 km from the Point to the turnoff to White Pine Beach of Sasamat Lake, time 1.58.  Four Cruisers: Lynn and Al, Leanne Dalton and Ros Muir walked or ran- walked from the Point to the north side to the Old Orchard Beach and return, 9km, time 1.25.  The ten enjoyed perfect weather; sun, some cloud, a breeze to keep comfortable, excellent water and mountain views.  The trails were teeming with runners and walkers, and the Point was busy with young families.  It doesn’t get better than this!  We saw Ryan on the long hill of Clarke Road down to St. John’s in Port Moody on his long run in training for the Seattle Marathon.  Haven’t caught up with them for details of his time and distance experience.
Correction of report for Saturday morning:  Yikes!  I neglected to include Joy Borgonia in the group that ran/walked.  Joy ran/walked with Leanne Dalton and Ros Muir, followed up by Lynn and Al.  My apologies, Joy.
