Eleven Cruisers were active Monday at 6.30 pm at the Centre. Both runners and walkers welcomed Rachel Fouladi who is in BC for one and one half weeks from Ankara, Turkey. Walkers were Lynn, Al, Adele, Tracy, distance 6.16 k, time 59 minutes. Val was accompanied by RA Edie who ran 20 minutes to Broadway and Underhill, out and back. Carla, Rod, Rachel and Bobtoc ran our usual route to Greystone, then tackled Shellmont hill, first time for a while, continued east on Forest Grove Drive, over the pedestrian overpass to the Stoney Creek School and back to the Centre, distance 8 k, time 1.04. Walkers and runners alike enjoyed some breeze, cool temperature cloud cover; the best night of the year.
Wednesday
Eleven Cruisers were active Wednesday evening. Nine Cruisers did hill work on North Road starting from the Stoney Creek trail and ending at Chapman Avenue ion the Coquitlam side. Stormin’ Norman did 12x, Rod 11x, Larry 10x, Bobtoc 8x; Gina, Rachel, Sharon and Tracy 5x each, Val 1x then joined Adele and Edie, who opted to walk, on the return to the Centre. The eleven enjoyed a cool temperature which was more conducive to hill repeats than what we have experienced recently.
