RA Edie, Larry and Laurie joined 10,000 other runners and walks Sunday morning for the 5 k CIBC Run for the Cure, ending at BC Place. The throng enjoyed perfect weather for this important fund raiser to find cures for cancer. Good on you three!

Monday: Five Cruisers met for a short run at the Centre 6:30 at the Centre Runners Alex, Carla, Rod, Tish and Bobtoc ran west only to Broadway and Underhill and returned, time out 36:43. The five enjoyed a cool, clear evening and a gorgeous sunset, with darkness falling 7:15. Walkers Lynn and Al were unable to walk due to Al attending a meeting.

Wednesday: Four Cruisers met at the Centre 6:30 Runner Larry ran our usual route, starting on the Beaverbrooks, over the Gaglardi pedestrian overpass to Forest Grove Drive, Shellmont, Meadowood, Greystone to IGA and return, 10 km approx, time 55 minutes. RA Edie, Rod and Bobtoc walked over to Tim Horton’s with no 10 and 1, for a study session there. The trio were joined by Larry after he completed his run. Strategizing for the Victoria weekend was uppermost in the minds of the foursome. The strategizing will not change a thing. Tracy’s Mom will compete in her 30th Victoria marathon. She is one of the original runners left from the first Victoria Marathon. Good luck to her.
