Six Cruisers: Runners RA Edie, Carla, Laurie and Bobtoc and walkers Lynn and Al plus their two gorgeous dogs met Saturday 8:00 am at the Burnaby Lake parking lot for a run and/or walk utilizing the Central Valley-Urban Trail. The six enjoyed a mild +6C temperature with very light showers, albeit lots of puddles on the route, most partially emptied by Bobtoc as he ran into them. The four runners went west past Boundary Road, not quite to Rupert, and returned, time 1:30. No details from the walkers at press time. The six enjoyed the best day of the year. To date.
Debra & Chris, Cheryll & Doug & Shawn, Edie, Alex & Angela, Norman and Libby ran the Resolution Runs yesterday on Jan 1. They experienced rain. Norman’s time was 21 minutes and change. Good work Norman. Alex Lau, in addition to running the Resolution Run, became a Polar Bear at English Bay to enjoy the annual dip into the ocean, followed by a swim before emerging onto the beach. His wife Angela was in his corner, holding the towel. Brave, brave, brave, brr, brr!
Snowshoeing was a washout Friday due to rainy weather on Cypress Mountain. Larry and Gi-Nyun scouted out the weather and show conditions.
