Ten Cruisers met at the Centre Monday at 6:30. Runners Tish, Lora, Chris Morley and Sayeeda ran up Forest Grove from the Beaverbrooks via the pedestrian overpass to Underhill, down Shellmont, into the Forest Hills subdivision to check on our future clubhouse, through an easement onto Broadway then return to the Centre, time 55 minutes and distance about 9 km. Walkers Rod, Edie, Larry, Adele, Tracy and Bobtoc’s route was Eastlake, Underhill, Forest Grove Drive east to the pedestrian overpass, the Beaverbrooks and return, time 1:16, distance about 8.5 km. The ten enjoyed mild temperature and no precip until stretch time for the walkers.

Wednesday: Sayeeda, Libby and Edie ran the Forest Grove loop – 6.5k and 50 minutes. Lovely starlit evening. The light was on when we approached the overpass but went out when we ran under it.

The 1,737 finishers in the three races enjoyed bright skies, warm temperatures, cheerful volunteers and good fun. Twelve Cruisers and friends enjoyed lunch at the Waterstone Tap & Grill Room on 84th Avenue in Langley, thanks to arrangements made for us by Christina Saremba. Our thanks to Christina, yea!!!!!
