Norman in the Stanley Park St. Patrick’s Day run. It’s the “wearin’ of the green” day, Norman!
Nine Runners/walkers ventured east from the Centre on a cold, temperature almost zero, clear evening. Walkers RA Edie, Larry, Rod together with Edie’s two dogs Bella and April went to Robinson St via Smith Avenue, then headed south and west to Foster Avenue to return, time out 1:10. Runners Anita Wood, Carla, Sharon, Sayeeda, Tish and Bobtoc ran to Como Lake, did one circuit then ran north on Porter St as far as Spring Avenue before turning back south to Foster then west to North Road and the Centre, time 1:22, guestimated distance 12.5 km, all in all a very enjoyable run.
Debra ran 29.5 km Sunday with our Poco Running Room friends. Norman and Alex may have company May 2nd.

Seven runners/walkers venmoved west on the usual route, hillwork for the runners. Rod and Larry walked Eastlake, Underhill, Forest Grove Drive, pedestrian overpass, Beaverbrooks return, time 1:20. Runners RA Edie, Laurie,Lora, Sharon and Bobtoc did 3x or 4x on Underhill before moving east on the same route used by Rod and Valerie, time 1:17. All seven enjoyed no precip but cold, near zero, temperatures.

Six runners ran west via Eastlake and onward, Rod running to Duthie before returning to the Centre; time out 1:20, distance 11k, taking it easy since returning from the bout with pneumonia. RA Edie, Laurie, Sharon and Bobtoc continued through to Howard Avenue and Francis Street before returning; time out 2:17, distance 18.5 k. The six experienced a cold, 2C, rainy morning, with the rain ceasing before the half way time for the lsd four.
I guess Harvey was with us on Saturday’s run. That’s why we couldn’t see the 6th runner. That darn rabbit should show himself. He thinks we’ll think he can run faster than us. Pshaw!

Enjoyed a couple of great phone conversations with Jennel recently. She is busy as a full time mother, keeping in trim by pushing Anamaria’s stroller up Panorama Drive, Coquitlam’s answer to our Underhill.
