Wednesday’s run/walk courtesy of Larry:

Rod, Libby, Sharon and Larry were the hardy four who braved the steady rain on what certainly was
n’t the best night of the new year. The three runners ran along Eastlake to Underhill, doing two runs up that hill as scheduled, loving every minute of it, then continued along Forest Grove Drive, across the Gaglardi overpass and back to Cameron Centre. Time out 1 hour 5 minutes or so, not bad for a soggy night. Walker Larry briskly did the Eastlake to Underhill route and returned the same way in a time of 54 minutes.

Wannabee princesses Edie and Laurie ran the 5k Resolution Run from the Running Room New Years Day in Port Coquitlam. Note to Wannabecaptain Bob: WE ARE THE REAL DEAL!

Seven runners met at the Centre Saturday at 8:00 am. RA Edie, Rachel, Sharon, Larry, Len Soet of Telus fame, Rod and Bobtoc ran west on Cameron Street, south to Government Street continuing onto Winston Street. Edie, Rachel and Sharon made their turn back near the Sperling Skytrain station to return to the Centre, their finishing times being 1:20 for Sharon and 1:30 for Edie and Rachel. The remaining four continued over the pedestrian overpass onto the “new” trail paralleling the Skytrain route fto make 7 km before retracing their steps to the Centre; their time and distance, 1:50 and 14 km, a distance short of the Running Room program. The seven enjoyed some sun, blue skies amidst clouds, no precip, little wind, approx +3C temperature, the best day of the year. The run was Larry’s first for months; finished with no problem. Yeh, Larry!
