On Monday April 11, the Cruisers were blessed with sunshine and even though it was a bit on the chilly side, it was great to be running/walking in the light of the evening. Rod, Larry (both in shorts of course), Carla, Lora Delorme, Edie and canine Cruiser April, and Ross and Flora who were both also clad in shorts, attended. Ross and Flora did a walk/run into Coquitlam and around the streets surrounding Cameron Centre for about an hour, while the rest did a run to Como Lake, did a lap around the Lake path – get this – in the reverse direction of what we usually do – oh we lived through the change but it was a struggle for some (?), and then we returned to Cameron using the usual route of Foster and Ewert – couldn’t have too much change there as the Como Lake route was different enough. Oh my! Time out, pretty much 1 hour, distance, pretty much 8 km.

Four Cruisers: RA Edie, Larry, Rod and Bobtoc ran the reverse Forest Grove route: over the pedestrian overpass, west on Forest Grove Drive to Underhill, north to the lane at Shellmont, east to Cinnamon Drive, continuing on the trail to meet Forest Grove Drive, then return via the pedestrian overpass, the Beaverbrooks, to the Centre. Time 57:39, distance 7.8 call it 8 k
. Weather: dry, cool, daylight.

Saturday morning:
The weather looked threatening but Rod, Larry, Alex, Edie, Flora and Ross turned up o

n Saturday morning and did their walks and runs, with Edie, her dogs Bella and April, and Flora and Ross going for a walk, and Rod, Larry and Alex ran out to Kensington Rink and back, distance 15 km, time for Larry 1:40, Rod and Alex 1:44, and Alex continued on for another 10-15 km as he gets himself ready for the Vancouver Marathon. A newcomer joined the ranks Saturday, name Mina.

THE SUN RUN!
The Vancouver Sun Run once again enjoyed perfect weather for the run: cold in the morning, sunny skies which warmed the temperature as the race started and progressed. The body heat from the thousands waiting the start at Georgia and Burrard kept the runners warm, a
