Monday’s run/walk
Norman, Rod, Edie and her two canine Cruisers ran from the Centre on a cold winter’s night, clear skies, dry underfoot conditions. The trio used the usual westward route, Norman and Rod running 7 km, time about one hour, and Edie walked to Broadway and Underhill.

Rene led eight Cruisers on a route he scouted out for our Coquitlam Christmas light run in an area bounded by North Road on

the west, Smith Avenue on the north, Schoolhouse Road on the east and Ivy Avenue on the south. Some of the route included avenues and streets used on our Como Lake runs. Rene did a great job in identifying well-decorated homes, the best two being one on Smith Avenue and one on Schoolhouse Road, the latter having the back yard as well as the front yard and house itself well decorated. Rene, Tracy, Rod, Edie’s time and distance were: 1:38, 9.75 km; for Libby and Bobtock, 1:44 and 10 km, having come back using Ivy Avenue. Walkers La

rry and Rick Davidson walked a shorter route. The eight enjoyed a fairly mild, no precip evening.

The Christmas Cruisers on a December Run (one elf stopping to wait for his friends… note the green shorts).

Eight Cruisers met at and ran from the Centre Saturday morning for a run to Como Lake. Larry, Rod, Rene, Flora, Rachel, Laura, RA Edie and Bobtoc ran the usual route, with Rachel veering out of formation to return to base due to weariness. The remainder completed the run, some doing one lap around the lake before returning. Times, 1:18 to 1:25. The eight enjoyed a relatively mild, no precip morning. Verna popped in to advise she has been ill, explaining why we have not seen her for a few weeks.
