Three Cruisers and a puppy ventured out Monday night. Alex, Rod, Edie and April walked to the corner of Underhill and Eastlake carefully over the slippery sections. The night was clear and cold but we were all dressed warmly. Distance 4.75k, time out 1 hour. Too cold to socialize under the tree tonight – straight home to our warm houses.
No word from the Kehei Cruisers today but we sent them orders to purchase a club house and send the rest of us plane tickets. Be packed and ready when they wire money to join them for a run along the beaches and an after run mocha lava java ice cream. I played Hawaiian music today to get into the spirit. Aloha oe

Aloha to Flora and Ross who leave Wednesday. They heard Hilo Hattie was suffering from the recession. Flora will be on a mission to bring prosperity back. You go, Girl! Have fun – good running.

message from Len

I was planning on running on Saturday until I saw the 10 cm of snow and figured that nobody would be out running. I was surprised to see a few dedicated runners show up. Yes, we were Bad Cruisers, Bad Cruisers, but we were warm! I did do a nice walk/run from my house Sunday afternoon from my house around Deer Lake. It was very nice and sunny and there were lots of people walking around Deer Lake. Here is my Endomondo link.

Note: Even though I use metric, you have to log in and change your personal settings to metric to change it from miles to kilometers. It thinks that we are in the USA.

Wednesday:

Two eskimos, Libby and Rod braved the -6 conditions. Went the usual way to Underhill, 1x hill and back through Forest Grove as usual. Time out 1h20. Conditions not bad, occasionally slippery. Libby wore her Yaktraks and Rod his hiking shoes. Both had many layers of clothing, unlike the Maui Mob.

Flora and Ross arrived in Maui and are warm and dry.

Three Cruisers, Len, Alex and Edie, enjoyed a leisurely run on Saturday from Cameron Centre to No Frills starting out at a balmy 3 degrees and NO RAIN. A relief after yesterday’s deluge. Eastlake was icy in places but otherwise clear. We had our guy in shorts today – Len ran in shorts and a long sleeve shirt. Too bad Larry and Rod missed today’s run. I imagine the Kihei Cruisers will also be running in shorts tomorrow. Those hardy souls! After running Edie back to Cameron, Alex and Len continued their run to add some extra
kilometres on.

Len and Alec’s continuation:
Here is a link to a map at the Edomondo site of this morning’s run. Alex and I ended up doing Government/Forest Grove run as Joe’s run was too icy.
