From Rod and Pat in Jamaica;
Greetings from Kingston Jamaica. All is going well and we moved to Kingston today to meet the last cousin, after a wonderful time on the North Coast. Temps about 84, good wine and beer. Haven’t been too close to computers, as this is really a 3rd world country and we couldn’t connect the ipod and iPhone. Heading back to Miami on Thurs and then home on Friday. Will be out Sat morning. Haven’t run since leaving, buts lots of crosstraining. Hi to al the cruisers. Have found a great clubhouse. Start saving.

From Stormin’ Norman:
My surgery is scheduled for March 1st . I expect to be discharged the next morning if there are no complications. I really don’t think there is anything I need from the Cruisers. I hope for a speedy recovery . In regards, to the Boston Marathon….I ‘ll make my decision closer to race time. It really depends on my recovery …hi to all the Cruisers and I really miss running with you all!
Regards,
Norman
Monday night’s run:
Three only showed up on a frigid but clear, moonlit and dry evening Monday Feb 27th. Sherian, Leo Liu and Bobtoc ran a slow pace on the usual route but only to Broadway and Arden and return, time 58:13.
Six showed up Wednesday for a run on a cool and dry evening, dry surfaces underfoot. Tracy, Larry, Edie plus her pooch April , Leo Liu, Libby and Bobtoc headed west on our familiar route; Edie and Leo turned back at Btoadway and Underhill. The remaining four continued to the former IGA corner. Tracy and Larry ran fastest, and kept track of the others via their bobturns, but managed to complete the route sooner than the remaining runners. Libby and Bobtec completed the run at slower paces, their time 1:23, distance 9:5 km.
Five showed up, one on the late side, and she knows who, Saturday at Rocky Point on a dreary but rainless morning. The five set out for the Orchard Beach on the north side and beyond. Flora and Leo Lui ran to April Road before returning, their time 1:20. Alex, Larry and Bobtoc continued on Ioco Road to the refinery fence then headed into the townsite and continued north to White Pine Beach at Lake Sasamat. Alex’s distance covered was 20.3, Larry’s 20, and Bobtoc’s 19. Running time for Alex per his watch was 2:42, and total elapsed time for all three including pit stop and a reconnoitering of the beach at the lake, 3:00 flat. Thanks to Alex and Larry for bobturns for the older chap.
From Edie reporting on a Sunday run with fellow Cruisers:
Since I missed Saturday’s run, I ran with Christina, Debra and Niel today. A most interesting route created by our FEEP:
From the Running Room to the trail by the river towards Red Bridge, right on Pitt River to Lougheed, left on Lougheed to Sorel, along the road through Riverview, then to Colony Farm and through the trails back out to Lougheed, up to Shaughnessy (LONG effen hill) en route to Lougheed, across to Patricia and through the trail back to Lougheed and the Running Room. Time out 2:09 and distance 16.3k. Very scenic. Everyone stayed together so the Rear Admiral had company and the rain held off, too. Great way to start the day. Debra and I had no idea where we were at times but Christina and Niel kept us on course.
