Monday’s run:
RA Edie, Flora, Laura, Rachel and Bobtoc warmly welcomed Stormin’ Norman back to the fold Monday on a cold, damp evening. Norman, about two weeks after his operation at Eagle Ridge Hospital, joined the five who ran/walked using the Stoney Creek path to North Road, Chapman Avenue, east to Robinson Avenue, south to Ebert Avenue, then west crossing North Road into the Sullivan Heights subdivision then back to the Centre. Norman was pretty careful; briskly walking with a few running spurts; still experiences post-op pain. The rain ceased after a short time, so the six were free of rain for most of the outing. Time out, 59:26, distance guestimate 8 k.

Wednesday’s run:
Tracy, Laura, Sherian, Larry, Rod, Edie, Flora, Minnesota Rachel, Bobtoc ran to Joe’s Trail to North Road and returned the same route, 7.6 k, time ranging from 57 minutes (the first th

ree in the line up) to 64 minutes. Ross walked using Cameron Street and the Beaverbrooks, time out 25 minutes. The ten, plus canine Cruiser April, endured a cold but sunny evening.

Friday’s run, courtesay of Rod:

RA Edie, Laurie, Alex and Rod left Cameron at 8.30 and ran usual route to entry point of Burnaby Lake near the dam. Round Burnaby Lake, North side first and back to Joe’s Trail entrance where Alex left us as he had to be back at Camero

n for 10.30 (he had already done 12km before meeting the rest of us at 8.30). Edie, Laurie and Rod carried on along Joe’s trail to North Road and back, then Edie and Laurie went back to Cameron after running 18.25k. Rod carried on to Sears and back to put in extra distance. Time out about 2h55, distance 22 km exactly. Great morning for a run (Rod and Alex in shorts). Field hockey Saturday for Rod. Results Monday.

Alex’s Friday run, courtesy of Alex:
Started from Cameron Centre at 7:08am. Ran along IGA route to Union and returned to Cameron Centre to run with the other Cruisers. (12Km for 1:07 hours) then at 8:36 ran with Edie, Rod and Laurie to Burnaby Lake for one lap. Rod, Edie and Laurie continued their LSD run to Joe’s trail while I returned to Cameron Centre. (1:43 hours for 13Km.) It was 8Km short of my scheduled distance of 32Km. Could not finish the distance because I ran out of time. Had to go to the doctor’s appoinment at 11:15am in Vancouver.

Saturday’s run:
Five Cruisers ran from Cameron Saturday on a clear, sunny day, cold at first but the temperature raised as the morning progressed. All started west on the usual IGA route. Rene and Leo Liu ran to the IGA corner, continued some distance in the golf course area, then ran back to the Centre to make a total distance 10 k. Flora, Larry and Bobtoc, all in shorts, continued to the Kensington Ice Rink and a bit further west, took in part of the track at Burnaby North, returned to the Centre with Flora and Bobtoc adding some distance by using a side road missing the Cameron Street hill, hung a right then left onto Bell Avenue, then continued again to Cameron Street to the Centre. Distance for Flora and Bobtoc, 17 k, for Larry, 18 k due to bobturns; times 2:35 and 2:25 respectively.
