Seven Cruisers ran short from the Centre on a rare no precip evening Monday. RA Edie, Rachel, Flora, Rod, Alex, Leo and Bobtoc ran the Stoney Creek trail to North Road, south on North to Sullivan Street, west to Beaverbrook then south and east on Cameron back to the Centre. Time 41:53, distance about 5 km. The Waterfront Saturday runners were still gloating over their 20 k run, or was it the coffee apres run?
Five Cruisers found the Lowest Common Denominator: Libby, RA Edie, Larry, Rod and Bobtoc ran from the Centre on another no precip evening Wednesday to Shellmont via the right-of-way east of Arden Drive from Broadway, continuing through to the lane east of Shellmont behind the Forest Grove Elementary School through to Forest Grove Drive, over the pedestrian overpass and back to the Centre. Time 1:06, distance 7.7 km.
Nine runners met at Rocky Point Saturday on a sunny morning, albeit it cold at the start, a temperature of +1C, leaving the wood bridges and pathways enroute still a mite slippery in spots shaded from the sun. The turnout included Flora, Rachel, RA Edie, Laurie, Larry, Len Soet, Rene, Laurie and Bobtoc. The first four ran to April Road before returning, their time and distance approx 80 minutes and 8 km; the remainder ran to the Ioco church before returning, their time and distance 1:25 to 1:35 and 10 km. The nine enjoyed the best day of the year so far. The nine de-briefed at the pier as is our custom and enjoyed the peace, mirror-like water and pristine scenery. See the photo from Edie’s phone on the blog. Photos supplied by Len are being sent concurrent with this update. Life is good!
