Monday’s run from Cameron Centre:
Larry, Bob Nadon, RA Edie and Bobtoc, leaving Rod behind to walk solo,  ran west from the Centre to Underhill via Eastlake to Forest Grove Drive, east to the pedestrian overpass to Beaverbrook past Stoney Creek Elementary, south then east back to the Centre; time for Larry and Bob, 51:14, for Edie and Bobtoc, 58.36.  Distance 6.7 km.  The four enjoyed the best night of the year (yes, again); mild, no wind, clear skies, a harvest moon; perfect for the EZ run.
Rod walked west on his own on Eastlake to the ICBC centre a distance of 4:02 km in a time of 42 minutes, and today, Tuesday, walked  4.39 km.  He’s doing great, looks like a Warner (the runners’ urologist-oncologist) success.
Wednesday:  Renee, Laura and Edie met at Cameron on a clear, coolish evening and decided to run Stoney Creek while it was still light.  Renee ran ahead and returned, then ran through the trail while Edie and Laurie walked up North Road hill.  We met at the top and ran Chapman/Robinson to Ebert together.  Renee went ahead at Ebert and sprinted back to warm up while Laura and Edie followed at a slower pace.  Perfect night for running with a glowing sunset – a little chilly.  Laura and Edie were out 56 minutes, Renee less.
Cruisers! in Fort Langley

Sherian, Laura and Edie met at Cameron at 7:30, then picked up Christina at 8.  Fort Langley was already hopping when we got there with the Cranberry Festival about to start.  We found a parking space and walked to our usual starting point.  There was a grand opening of a recently completed condo complex on Saturday with many new gardens and benches.  Beautiful area.  We ran through the trail to the Derby Reach camp ground and returned for a distance of 12k and a time of 1:45.  It didn’t seem that long but we did stop to take a few pictures and to admire the view and check out the new mansions and landscaping. OMG!  There are some big bucks around.  The day was perfect for running, blue skies and cool temperature.  It doesn’t get any better than this.

After our run, we had coffee in our favourite place and checked out all the stalls and the Farmers’ Market.  The place was thronged with people and dogs.  There were canoe races going on near the Bedford House.  We got home about 2 PM.  It was a great outing.  Mmmmm…..Pumpkin Pie!
