Cruisers RA Edie, Laurie and Bobtoc ran from Rocky Point Monday in ideal conditions: sunshine, comfortable temperature. The threesome moved out approximately 6:20 pm, ran to April Road and Ioco Road, using the lowest trail from the Point to Orchard Park Beach before reaching Alderside. Some time was used checking out houses for sale on Alderside, looking for the best location for a clubhouse. Combined lines of credit didn’t seem to cut it, however. Bobtoc found the going a bit much after the longish run Saturday; however, tried to keep his moans to a minimum… Time and distance, 1:30, 8.7 km.
From Coquitlam:
On Monday Heather, Burrows (her dog) & I met at Lafarge Lake to join the Zumba leader; we all walked up David to Johnson, down to Delahaye Drive,, then to Walton and back to Lafarge Lake. We then dropped off Burrows with Heather ‘s husband James (who was playing volleyball in the Park). We three ladies con’t our walk around the Lake to make our time an hour. Good, fast pace walk!

From Coquitlam:
Heather & I met at David & Pinetree Wednesday, then made our way East to Pipeline, then ran the TransCanada Trail along the river, through the beautiful trees for an hour together. Then made our way back to our homes. Time 1:40.
Six Cruisers showed up Saturday, two to walk, the others to run. The proposed early walk using the BMO Vancouver Marathon route for the Coast to Coast walkers did not occur, therefore RA Edie and Larry walked from the Centre to Main St and Terminal Avenue via the Central Valley Parkway and the Skytrain path, and Skytrained back to the Lougheed Mall station. Time and distance, 4:11, 21.1 km. Yea!
Runners Rene, Laura, Rod and Bobtoc ran to Mundy Park, Rene having run from his home in Coquitlam to the Centre, and dropped off on the return west near Robinson St. Laura continued solo from there to the Centre. Rod and Bobtoc on their way east to the Park used Smith Ave. rather than Regan, causing them to dipsy doodle through some of the streets to go south, using Linton, Cypress then east on Winslow to Hillcrest St. The four re-joined at the Park and, before their return to Cameron Centre, rooted Flora and Ross out of their home, Flora appearing in jammies and bare feet. Good sports! The four then started back, Rene and Laura running much faster than the two Senators. Time for the first two, about 1:35, for the others, 1:48, distance for all 11+ km. Some light rain was encountered in Coquitlam.
