On Saturday morning Larry, Rod, Laura and Edie met at Cameron Centre. Edie said hello but did not run with us due a sore back, hope she recovers soon. The remaining three ran along the Burnaby Lake trail past the nature house to a point just before the bridge that leads to the Central Valley parking lot, then returned, distance 11 km, time 1 hour 45 min. We enjoyed the lack of rain but it was a bit chilly, but we’re not complaining. We had to bypass a large gathering of Canada geese with their babies at the nature house – they were heading over to the lakeshore.

On Wednesday, Laura, Rod, Edie and Larry, having decided that the monsoon conditions posed too much of a risk of drowning, drove over to Timmy’s North Road place and conferred about an upcoming England trip, recent soccer matches, technological anomalies and glitches, traffic tie-ups, shoddy weather and making reservations on the next flight to Hawaii. Running distance and time – too small to measure due to risky conditions, but on a healthy note, no lardballs were consumed.

Half Corked Recreation and Culture at its best.
Four cruisers: Edie, FLORA, Larry and Rod walked/ran the Forest Grove circuit. Time out 1h6, distance 6 km. Discussions ranged from Bob’s absence, Edie and Larry’s upcoming trip, Flora and Ross’s house and car renovations and Rachels progression in her course (she was expected to come out on Saturday but, like others, was a no show).
The general conscensus was that we should point out to Bob that the Tuesday/Thursday group is still in operation if he can’t make other days AND YOU GET YOUR NAME IN COLOUR IF YOU BELONG TO THAT GROUP!!!!
Edie and Larry were wished a good trip, while back at Cameron, Debra was in full song at the spinning class.
