Jennel’s run in Coquitlam:
Well, I managed to squeeze in a 45 min. run today!  Between prepping the Thanksgiving dinner, all the kids activities & cleaning the house, I wasn’t sure when I’d be able to get a run in!
Well…”Time Management!!!”  While the girls were both in gymnastics at Port Moody Rec. Centre this morning, I  ran laps on the Track upstairs!  Made some room for extra turkey!
Jennel

Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone:)
Just another lousy run in Paradise….Rocky Point

The Gecko Gang gets a new member –  Hondas and one renegade Mazda belong to the club, thanks to our Founder, Rod.

Oct. 14th:  RA Edie with canines April and Bella, Larry, Laura, Rod and Bobtoc ran from Rocky Point Saturday on a cool but bright morning.  Rocky Point and the north side of the inlet were at their best-colourful autumn leaves, a very low tide; all in all the best morning of the year.  The five set out together; Edie with her canines  just past the Orchard Park beach; Larry, Laura and Rod ran to the Ioco gates, time and distance 1:40, 12km, and Bobtoc ran to April Road; time and distance 1:31, 9.91 km.  All five complated their runs and convened at the pier to enjoy the scenery.  Port Moody city has done a wonderful job at Rocky Point; lots of activity by boaters, runners, walkers, dog walkers, etc.
October 16th: RA Edie with canines April and Bella and Minnesota Rachel, Larry and Rod, and Libby and Bobtoc, ran or walked west on a clear, moonlit, gorgeous fall evening, with dry leaves crackling underfoot.  Great stuff!.  The first pair walked to Eastlake and Underhill and returned.  The next four ran to the SV corner and returned, distance 9.5 km. Larry and Rod ran the distance in 1:20, whilst Libby and Bobtoc ran the distance in 1:35.
From Coquitlam from Jennel:  Wednesday’s  Running Report is not about me.  Actually my 5 yr old daughter just completed 10km of running today at school.  They run 1 or 2km around the track a couple times a week and when they reach 10km, they get a running shoe trinket on a necklace!  It’s called “Run-O-Mania”.  What a great activity for  young kids!  Anamaria’s training to run a marathon one day just like her Mom!!!  “I’m SO proud of my little girl!!!”
Also, just to let everyone know…… I’ve decided to run the Las Vegas Marathon for my 40th birthday (2015) instead of this year.  There’s something to look forward to!!!
Now it’s my turn….hiked the Coquitlam Crunch Thursday. morning…2hrs.  Jennel:)

October 26th:  Since a number of Cruisers will be running the James Cunningham 9.5 k run tomorrow at Stanley Park, it was slim pickings today for the Saturday morning run.  Rod and Bobtoc only ran, their route being east crossing North Road onto Ebert Avenue to Robinson, north to Foster Avenue to Como Lake, touched the railing of the small bridge over the creek and ran back.  The duo enjoyed a quiet morning clear of fog.  Time and distance, 1:05, 7 km.  Rene and Larry showed up in civvies, and opted to conduct a strategy meeting at Tim Horton’s.
