Distance for the walk, call it 10k. The morning was magic.

The group then debriefed at Timmie’s to celebrate Bobtoc’s 85th birthday anniversary.  The group, after great conversation, left Timmie’s.  Guestimated distance for the walk,  perhaps 3 k, time, not much for the walk, but in total with the “debriefing”, a couple of hours.  Bobtoc enjoyed the time and the company of great friends.  His thanks to all!

Coquitlam Cruisers:
This entire week Jennel and dog Nellie did the Coquitlam Crunch EVERY day except Wednesday,  but Wednesday I did an entire day of setting up Christmas lights which was amazing cross training! LOL(Can you see our house glow from Burnaby? LOL, lots of lights!  (Response from Bobtoc:  “no.”)  Also, Jennel’s daughter Annamaria and classmates hiked the Crunch Friday during school.  She has a greater appreciation for her Mother now!!

Coquitlam Cruisers:
Jennel and Nellie hiked the top part of the Coquitlam Crunch Tuesday morning in the SNOW!!!  Yep, that’s right folks, that 4 letter word is here!  If was just a light dusting, maybe an inch or so covering the ground, but made the sidewalks slippery.  This is  why we avoided the stairs part of the Crunch!!!  That’s all for now!  Jennel.

Wednesday November 24/19:  On Wednesday evening, 19 Cruisers and significant others gathered for dinner at the Burnaby Mountain Golf Course’s Mulligan dining room for dinner.  A good time was had by all.  Thank you to Larry for making the arrangements.  The group had an almost exclusive use of the dining room.

From Jennel:  Finally, I got out running!  Thursday morning, Jennel & dog Nellie went for a run down David, and decided at last minute to run to Heather’s home.  She wasn’t home, so they turned around and went back home making a pit stop at Town Centre.  Total km = 10 km.

Saturday November 27/19:  On Saturday morning, Larry, Kevin, Susan, Len, Alex (with canine Cora),
Eoin, Laura and Flora walked to Edie’s to view her renovated basement, which was very nicely done.  Edie treated the lucky group to coffee and muffins.  The group then walked back to Cameron Centre. The route used was crossing North Road, going along Smith Ave, passing through Mountainview Park, onto Townley St. and right onto Grover, then back the same way.  Flora, Len and Alex and Cora jogged most of the way, their time a bit less than the others.  Distance was 6 km, time walking/running was about 1 hour.  As it was a bit cold (-4 C) no one wore shorts(!!).
