Spring Colours of Rocky Point

May 11 2020 – The Regular Schedule Resumes
RA Edie ,Larry, Kevin and Bobtoc  met at the Centre Monday and walked to the Gaglardi
overpass to Forest Grove Drive, continued on the Drive until the  rustic trail north of the Drive was evident.  Edie encouraged the group to cross to the trail which paralleled the Drive,  and so walked west until a suitable place was found from the trail to cross back to the Drive where the four crossed back to the Drive sidewalk and proceeded east back to the Gaglardi overpass, crossed it, continued east to the school grounds to the Stoney Creek trail to continue back to the Centre.  Distance measured by Kevin, 5.6 km, and time 1hr 5 min.  The four enjoyed a no precip, comfortable temperature evening, as week as the trail north of Forest Grove Drive walk portion of the outing. That portion was a welcome change from the boredom of using the sidewalks of the Drive. Thanks to Edie for suggesting the change!  The four observed the social distance recommended these
days due to the COVIL-19 situation.

May 13 2020:  New Kid in Town – Lucky Farrelly came to meet her fellow Cruisers and future walking mates.  Just 6 weeks old and so full of cuteness, she charmed us all.

On Wednesday evening RA Edie ,Larry, Kevin, Alex, Susan, and Bobtoc welcomed Shiraz Mohamed
back to the group after a long absence.  The destination for he seven was similar to that of Monday:
from the Centre to the Gaglardi overpass to Forest Grove Drive, crossing to a path to a trail to the north
of FGD, then west on a trail paralleling FGD, then reversing on the trail back to FGD to the portion with the
pavement back to the Gaglardi overpass, continuing to the Stoney Creek trail, then heading on the trail
west to return to the Centre.  The distance was longer than that of Monday, call it 6.5 km. The weather
condition was no rain, temperature just right.  Time time to complete, 1 h 21m.

Saturday May 16 2020:
On Saturday morning Alex, RA Edie, Flora, Kevin, Larry, Laura and Eoin, Bobtoc, Rene and Susan met at Cameron Centre.  The destination for the run was essentially was  that of Wednesday; the Stoney Creek trail to the Gaglardi overpass to  Forest Grove Drive, crossing to a path to the trail north of FGD, west on that trail.  Alex , Edie, Flora, Larry and Bobtoc used a path leading back to Forest Grove Drive further west than on Saturday from the trail  back to Forest Grove Drive to return to the Gaglardi overpass

to the Stoney Creek trail back to the school grounds and  and back to the Centre.  Rene previously opted to get a run in rather than walk with the others. We were pleased to see him however.  The others returned
later to the Centre.  Distance for the  first group, 6,5 km. and time 1h20m  The weather was no rain, temperature on the cool side. The others completed their walk;  don’t know their time or distance.
Flora and Susan went further up the trail after the other Cruisers turned back.
Trail was really nice with views of ravines, large trees, tickling water, and nice flowers.Trail ended close to Broadway and Underhill. They walked together till we split at .. Arden i 🤔 and Flora continued her run back, mostly and Susan continued home.
