On Wednesday evening some Cruisers were out to walk – Hazra, Rod, Liane, and Flora and possibly others, I do not have full details – but it was a nice evening for a walk, and there was a reported sighting of an owl with a large wing span. The walk route was from the mall along Eastlake to Underhill, and return the same way. Thanks Flora for the report!

On Monday evening Kevin, René, Brenda, Glenn, and Edie met at the mall. It wasn’t raining when we first started. We walked down Cameron & Beaverbrook. Then at Eastlake we decided to return because the rain became heavier.
We returned via the Eastlake dog park back to the mall. Chatted for a bit outside of London Drugs. Thanks to Kevin for the report!

On Saturday morning there was no walk due to the heavy rain, so Liane, Larry, Edie, Miriam and Len did the next best thing and went for breakfast – at White Spot at Kensington Square.
Later on Flora, Barry and Rachel showed up, it was nice to see them. Flora ran with the Fit First group earlier in the morning, braving the wet weather.

Our distance was about 6 km and our time was about 1h15. Len Soet said hello to us at the mall before we set out on our walk – he was at IHOP with another group. We saw a couple of salmon in the creek during our walk, fortunately no cranes or bears though.
Meanwhile, Flora did a walk-run with the Fit First group out of Christine Sinclair Centre, her distance 8 km and a route over the Kensington overpass. We were fortunate that it did not rain during our activities.

On Saturday morning Edie, Kevin, Liane, Len, Rod, and Larry walked from the mall through the Lougheed underpass to Manchester and trail to North Road, to Joe’s trail and over to the dam by Burnaby Lake, then up Cariboo to Government, Eastlake trail to Cameron, and back to the mall where some of us had coffee. We saw some salmon in the Brunette River but not as much as we expected to see. Maybe it was too early in the morning?
Our distance was 7.1 km, walk time was 1h52, and thanks to Len’s stats our moving time was tracked at 1h47, good to know we were moving most of the time! It was a beautiful sunny day for a walk.
Meanwhile Flora ran with the Fit First group out of Christine Sinclair Centre, twice over the Kensington overpass at a pace of 8 km/h and a distance of 7 km. Alex ran around Central Park, his distance 8.24 km and time 1h20. He has signed up for the Gunner Shaw Memorial Cross Country Race at Jericho Park on Dec. 6.

On Wednesday Edie, Brigitte, Kevin, Liane, Glenn, Brenda, and Larry walked from the mall along Cameron, Beaverbrook, Eastlake to Underhill and returned via Eastlake Park and Cameron.
Our distance was about 6 km and our time about 1h20. We got most of our walk done before it started raining on our way back, so it was a good walk overall.
On our way back we observed that some apartment units along Cameron had Christmas lights up, and Larry noticed that one of them had a Christmas tree up in the living room – already!
