Seven Cruisers met Monday 9:00 am at the Centre on a frigid -2C but clear morning. Tracy, Adele and Larry walked the Beaverbrook, Stoney Creek trail to North Road to the trail to SFU as far as the foot of Cardiac Hill before retracing steps back to the Centre; time 1:40. Runners Alex, Rod in shorts no less, Rene and Bobtoc opted for the Joe’s Trail route to North Road and return, time 38:25. RA Edie turned up for the Monday morning fitness class as the runners completed their run. Not content with ther fitness workout, she and Sherian, accompanied by her dog April, ran at Rocky Point in the afternoon as far as April Road
before returning, time 1:20. Edie reported lots of folks at Rocky Point taking in the fresh air and scenery.
n’t the best night of the new year. The three runners ran along Eastlake to Underhill, doing two runs up that hill as scheduled, loving every minute of it, then continued along Forest Grove Drive, across the Gaglardi overpass and back to Cameron Centre. Time out 1 hour 5 minutes or so, not bad for a soggy night. Walker Larry briskly did the Eastlake to Underhill route and returned the same way in a time of 54 minutes. Wannabee princesses Edie and Laurie ran the 5k Resolution Run from the Running Room New Years Day in Port Coquitlam. Note to Wannabecaptain Bob: WE ARE THE REAL DEAL!
