Norman with Abby and Caspian – Norman, Abby, Caspian with Flora and Alex
Monday: Ten Cruisers ran/walked wet, the runners Tracy, Rene, Rod, Bobtoc, Alex, Flora Edie and April turning south to Production Way to Government Road as far as Piper Avenue, then south to view a beautifully lighted in red and blue home, then retraced steps to the centre. Walkers Larry and Ross took a brisk 50 minute walk to Eastlake and Underhill and back. Time for runners 1:03 to 1:15, distance 8.5k. The temperature was 2 degrees and the rain came as the runners returned to Cameron.
Wednesday: Ten Cruisers ran/walked from the Centre Wednesday evening for the annual Christmas Light run. Runners, Norman, Abby, Alex, Rod, Libby, Edie, Laurie, Rachel and Bobtoc ran to Cottonwood, Blue Mountain, Runnymede, Smith Avenue to view the houses decked out for Christmas. A van of ladies from Riverview were also appreciative of Rod and Norman’s legs! Larry noted at Tim’s later that this was reverse sexism. Runners were out 54 minutes. Ross and Larry walked up Cottonwood to Robinson, south to Ivy and returned via North Road. Saw some interesting light displays, lots of colours with LED lights. Distance was 5 to 6 k, time out 1 hour.
Saturday: Nine Cruisers started out from Cameron today in 0 degree temperatures, Alex, Norman, Abby and Caspian ran to RCH, via Joe’s trail, and back while Flora, Edie and Rod ran and walked to the end of Joe’s trail and back and Ross and Larry walked almost to the end of Joe’s trail and back. Time out was about 1.5 hours. Perfect running weather – no rain, no snow, refreshing breeze. Might have been a little chilly for the guys in shorts, but the rest of us were warm once we got going. Abby and Caspian were still full of energy when they returned to Cameron. R A E
