Stormin’ Norman tears up the streets of Vancouver
TOP GUN PILOT, ROD Rod was contemplating some hill work on Mt. Shasta, but changed his mind. That is one effen hill!

Speaking of Flying…………..
Speaking of marathons and halfs, I understand there was a Cruisers contingent at the BMO Vancouver Marathon and Half. Stormin Norman ran the marathon and had a finishing time of 3 hours HERE ARE THE DETAILS OF THE BMO MARATHON SUNDAY MAY 3.

Here is the report promised by Larrytheyounger. Thanks to Larry for his Monday night report. See you on the hills tomorrow.
Five Cruisers: Norman Lum, Sgt. Major Christina Saremba (still on Cruiser strength notwithstanding her residence in PoCo), Lori Jones, Debra Nicol and Bobtheolderchap, plus from the PoCo group, Henry O’Shea, Niel and Ruby Ferguson, and, back from Central America, having completed her research job there, Tanya Jones who did not run but was official photographer, attended the BMO Marathon. The nine enjoyed pluperfect weather conditions for the runs; cool temperature, no rain, some cloud cover; very good organization of the events by the organizers, and an EXPO under canvas, a change from use of BC Place. The nine re-grouped after the runs for “de-briefing” at the Cactus Club in Burnaby to enjoy each other’s company. The de-briefing included replacement of electolytes: good food and for some; barley, red or white grapes. It helped. All in all, a good day; fun and fellowship, positive attitudes of the runners and walkers.
The results, chip time, are as follows:
42.2:
Name Time
Norman Lum 3.47.29 Excellent results for both Norman and Henry!!!
Henry O’Shea 3.49.53

Christina Saremba 2.09.02
Niel Ferguson 2.15.57

8km
Ruby Ferguson 42.24
Belated Sun Run news:
Rainy Kent ran the Sun Run in a blistering 44.55 time, placed in the top ten women in her age group; actually second! Our Duracell, beautiful role model for the running sorority (almost said fraternity). Congratulations, Rainy.

Burnaby Sun Run leaders wind-up Thursday evening at the Burnaby Lake Pavilion. minutes – job well done Norm! For the rest of the results, perhaps Bobtheelder can put together a report as I did not attend this event but he did.
