Ten Cruisers met at the Centre Wednesday 6.30 pm for hill repeats.  The initial nine ran to North Road to run north on North to Chapman Avenue then back to the trail entrance various numbers: e.g.,  Gina, Larry, Rod ran 5 hill repeats, shortly joined by Tracyakamarybeth who ran 3x, having joined Gina, Larry and Rod upon her arriving home from her business; Libby, Joy, Val and Bob ran 4x, and Laurie and Edie ran 1x then continued on a run, eventually returning to the Centre.  Weather: light rain started at the same time the nine embarked from the Centre; temperature OK.  Time out, 1.07 for eight, a little less for Laurie and Edie.  Debra Nicol and husband Chris made cameo appearances before going out to dinner.

Rod ran 17 km this morning due to family commitments tomorrow.  Leanne Dalton, Debra, Edie and Laurie will run Port Moody’s Mother’s Day 5 km Sunday.  On Saturday last, May 2nd, Rainy Kent ran the Elk Lake, Saanich 50 k run, coming first in her women’s age group.  Duracell batteries have nothing on Rainy.  Congratulations on the fine performance, Rainy.  On Thursday evening May 7, Burnaby Sun Run Clinic leaders celebrated the 25th Sun Run at a wind-up at the Burnaby Lake Rowing Club Pavilion, thanks to Rainy and husband Joe Turtle, plus a group who managed the kitchen and BBQ.
