On Saturday morning Liane, Flora, Larry, Kevin, Edie, and Shiraz met at Queen’s Park in New West and Shiraz took the lead in guiding us over and giving us a tour of the new swimming pool complex that replaced the old Canada Games pool, across the street from the park. Quite an impressive facility, with six pools of various sizes and uses, ranging from family pools to full size training pools, and plenty of gym workout treadmills, weight machines, etc. Then we walked back around the park, went up 2nd St. to 6th Ave. and stopped in for ice cream at the Rocky Point ice cream store, then walked back through the park.
Our distance is estimated at 6 km and our walk time was about 1h20. Much cooler temperature this morning too.

From Jennel: Jennel is still getting out there in the heat as well. On Tuesday she found a trail near their house that she’d never been on before, and walk-jogged 5 km with her dogs.
