On Saturday Len, Miriam, Jax, Liane, Edie, Flora and I met at 9:15 am at Queens Park. We started later so we could go for ice cream when they opened.
We walked over to Tipperary Park to check out the Christmas lights. Then we walked the neighbourhood and ended up at Rocky Point Ice Cream were Alex joined us after his park run. The scoops at this location are always larger then the other locations and we weren’t disappointed.
We said good bye to Alex and return to Queens Park.

On Saturday Liane, Flora, Hazra and Rod walked from the mall, using the underpass to Keswick Park, around the track, then up to Cardston, Halston to Government, along the Eastlake trail through Eastlake Park, Salish Court, Erickson, and back to the mall, distance of about 6 km, Flora ran much of the route and a bit more distance. Good job Flora, time was about 1 hour. Cooler temperature and somewhat cleaner air, which was greatly appreciated!
Thanks to Rod for the report!
Also on Saturday, Alex ran the Gunner Shaw Memorial Cross Country at Jericho Park, distance 10 km, time 1h28:17, first of one in the M75-79 group.
What an awesome run Alex, such an inspiration! According to Alex, the weather was good at the start but the course was wet and muddy.

On Monday Rod, Larry, Glenn, Bridgette, Brenda, Liane, Edie & myself met at Lougheed Mall. I am a bit unclear of the details, but I will do my best.
We started out as usual around 6:30ish on our usual route down Cameron, Beaverbrook then East Lake. At that point someone (I think Liane), decided to go check out Christmas Lights. We wondered through townhouse complexes like we were going to do a B&E. It was dark & raining and we had flashlights to guide us. We spooked a few dogs that started to bark. We did see some nice lights though.
Eventuality we made it back without the cops being called. Enjoyed by all.😜
Have no idea what our stats were.
Plans are in the works to walk on Monday night at Lafarge Lake. So stay turned.

On Saturday morning Larry, Miriam, Len and Jax, René, Hazra and Rod met at Christine Sinclair Centre and walked along the paved path parallel to the Skytrain route, to the new Holdom overpass which is now under construction, and returned the same way,our distance about 5 km and our time about 1h15.
We met Flora for coffee after our walk,as she did a 30 minute jog with the Fit First group and we saw her out running while we were walking.
