A day with no rain! October 1st:  R. A. Edie, Flora ,Larry, Laura,and Eoin, Rod and Bobtoc met Saturday morning at the Centre.  Edie, Flora and Rod ran to the IGA corner but used the trail along the golf club since the trio needed the facilities at the baseball field near Squint Lake then followed the road from the golf club back to the intersection at Greystone and Burnwood then returned to the Centre; distance 10.5 km time 1:42.   Laura …

Saturday September 3rd:Alex ,RA Edie, Larry, Laura, Rod met at the Confederation Park at 7:30 am and  Bobtoc joined them sharp at 7:38…  Rain was p*****g down heavily, so the six opted to motor to the Caffe Artigiano in the 4300 block Hastings St to wait out the weather.   When the rain abated, the six returned  to  Confederation Park and Bobtoc led the group on an abridged version of the walk Wednesday evening to the …

Monday August 1st:  BE PREPARED!  Is the City of Burnaby, taking precautions for ice, on August1 on one of the bridges on the Burnaby Lake route. July 2016 Canada Day in Fort Langley – Seventeen Walkers/Runners met at the Fort Pub parking lot to walk the 12k Fort to Fort trail, some added on the 4k Houston Loop.  The day was slightly overcast with the odd drops of rain – not enough to dampen enthusiasm.  After the walk, some of the group had lunch at a local winery, some went home and some had coffee at the First Nations Coffee Shop …

June 1st:  Four brave souls:  Cheryl, Larry, Rod and Bobtoc walked the Forest Grove Drive route backwards under clouds heavy with rain, and got thoroughly soaked in the process.  Time and distance, 1:06 and 6.8 km or so  respectively. Flora was  also on Forest Grove Drive, saw her briefly; she was on another mission not to do with the Cruisers.    Coquitlam Cruisers ran Tuesday morning.  Heather and Jennel ran from Jennel’s house to Rocky …

April 1st:Seven Cruisers, a surprising number considering four Cruisers will be running the Fool’s Run  Gibsons  to Sechelt Sunday and three are in California,  met at the Centre on a sunny and warm Saturday, temperature approx. 16C.  The destination for the day was Como Lake once again for the runners and lesser distances for the walkers.  Len, Laura, Alex and Bobtoc opted for the run (rog for the older chap) to the Lake, pairs being …
