Dog days of summer! August 2nd: Alex, Larry, Laura, Rod and Bobtoc ran/walked Saturday at Rocky Point at 7:30 Saturday on a day that promised to be a sizzler. RA Edie and Nancy met the group before they set out for their run.  Edie looks great! Canada Day – Soet Style: We did it again, on Canada Day, Miriam, Debra Colvin and I hiked the whole 48 km Baden Powell trail from Horseshoe bay to Deep Cove. May 3rd:Four Cruisers met Saturday for a longish run west from the Centre on a perfect-for-running morning- overcast, cool temperature, no precip until after our stretches at the fence.  Alex, Larry, Rod and Bobtoc ran to the Kensington Rink and return, distance 16 km, times net of pit stops, varying between 2:10 and 2:25. Saturday March 1st: Six runners/walkers showed up on a cool to cold morning Saturday.  Larry and Edie opted to walk, while Alex, Laura, Rick and Bobtoc opted to run to Mundy Park.  All six headed east, crossing North Road at Foster Avenue.  The runners continued on Foster through to Hillcrest St then returned west on Winslow Avenue to Blue Mountain St, back to Foster Avenue to Robinson St, south to Appian Way, west to Whiting, …

Seven runnes/walkers emerged from hibernation and showed up Saturday Jan 4 at Cameron Centre on a zero C morning.  RA Edie, Larry, Laura and Rick opted to run, while Alex, Rod who suffered with cold/coughs courtesy of his grandchildren plus the almost-stranger Bobtoc, who had not run since Nov 17, opted to walk, albeit with more than a few creaks and groans.   Alex turned back to grab an extra jacket and somehow lost the other six.  …
