Week of April 8th

Week of April 1st

Cruisers RA Edie, Laurie and Bobtoc ran from Rocky Point Monday in ideal conditions:  sunshine, comfortable temperature.  The threesome moved out approximately 6:20 pm, ran to April Road and Ioco Road, using the lowest trail from the Point to Orchard Park Beach before reaching Alderside.  Some time was used checking out houses for sale on Alderside, looking for the best location for a clubhouse.  Combined lines of credit didn’t seem to cut it, however.  Bobtoc found …

Week of March 25th

Seven Cruisers ran or walked from the Centre in summer-like weather conditions Wednesday evening.  RA Edie plus canine Cruiser April and Larry walked to the intersection of Underhill and Broadway before returning to Cameron Centre.  Runners Stormin’ Norman and Rene ran like a dose of salts to the IGA corner and return, their time and distance one hour and 9.5 km.  Alex,  Rod and Bobtoc ran the same route although the latter two went to a turnaround …

Week of March 18th

Week of February 25th

Six  runners ran from the Centre Monday on a cool but moonlit evening, making visibilty much better than what usually is encountered at this time of the season.  Alex, Edie, Laura, Rod, Norman and Bobtoc opted to run/walk the Forest Grove Drive frontward run, i.e., west from the Centre via Cameron St, Eastlake, north on Underhill to Forest Grove Drive, east on the return to the Gaglardi pedestrian overpass, the Beaverbtooks to the Centre.  Time …

Alex, Edie and her two dogs April and Bella, Rod and Bobtoc walked Monday on a cold dry evening from the Centre using the backward Forest Grove Drive route, to Underhill, Eastlake, the Beaverbrooks returning to the Centre.  Time and distance,  1:25,  7 km.   From Jennel:    Monday run….ran 75 min. at Port Moody Rec. Addendum for Saturday’s morning run February 9:   I neglected to describe fully Alex Lau’s run.  In addition to the 12 km he ran with Edie, Laura, Laurie, Sherian and Bobtoc, before the 12km run he had run 3.5 km, and an additional 3.5 km run AFTER the 12 km run, a total of 19 km in his training for the 2013 BMO Vancouver Marathon.
