Walkers Lynn and Al and runners Alex, Osama, Rene, Sayeeda, Val and Bobtoc met at the Centre 6:30 for a frigid walk or run. The eight proceeded west, the destination of the runners being the IGA corner and return with Val joining Lynn and Al at Broadway and Underhill. Six Cruisers met Monday on a balmy, no precip evening. Al and Lynn brought their two friendly dogs for their walk, after the runners, particularly RA Edie, gave the dogs lots of pats. Over twenty Cruisers and friends of Cruisers met in the Willow Room Monday Nov 2 to hear Ferg Hawke’s talk of his entry into the sport of running, his fast progession from the Sun Run to ultramarathons, culminating in his successes at the Badwater 135 Mile Death Valley ultramarathon. Thanksgiving Weekend

Royal Victoria Marathon: Words to describe the event’s organization, routes, the beauty of the city, the weather, can only be superlatives. The weather Friday and Saturday was gorgeous; warm, sunny, +5C at start of the races beginning at 6:30 through to 8:30.
