May 2019 BMO by the City Hall On Wednesday  RA Edie with April, Larry, Kevin, Alex, and Bobtoc walked from the Centre once again to North Road using the Stoney Creek trail and returned to the Centre.  The five enjoyed a comfortably warm evening.  On the way back, Alex, who was walking with Bobtoc,  spotted on the bridge joining the Stoney Creek Elementary School grounds to the trail, three plaques for want of a different …

April 2019 Shoreline Park in all its glory…. Monday April 1st:  RA Edie with April, Laura and Eoin, Susan and Bobtoc walked from the Centre Monday on a warm, no rain evening using the Stoney Creek trail to North Road and return, time and distance being one hour on the dot and 4 km respectively.  A very pleasant time indeed. March 2019 Lost Lake in Mundy Park –  If the name fits…… And Spring is around the corner??????????? March 2nd:  On Saturday morning, Larry, Rod, Susan, Edie and canine April walked, while Len and Alex ran intervals, along the Burnaby Lake trails to the nature house, enjoying the sunny, gorgeous day, a bit chilly at -1 C.  We saw the ducks at the nature house area at the lakeshore, including the brightly coloured mandarin duck. …

Happy New Year! Not all the Cruisers were as brave as Miriam and Len who did the Annual Polar Bear Swim at English Bay as part of their long standing New Years Day tradition and Flora and Rachel who did the Penguin Plunge again at Rocky Point.  Flora and Rachel went to the hot tub at Poirier and then on to lunch at Cafe Divano in Klahani. November 2018 Dark days for ducks Saturday November 2nd:Alex, Flora, Ivan, Larry, Laura, Rod and Bobtoc met on a drizzly Saturday am at the Centre.  The destination chosen was east into Coquitlam to Como Lake, crossing North Road from Willoughby into Coquitlam via Smith Ave to Robinson Street, to Foster Ave, Gatensbury then returning west using  Robinson again to Ivy and Webster back to North Road, crossing at Cameron back to the Centre.  Larry and …
