  Rene, RA Edie, Rod and Bobtoc ran from the Centre west and south to Winston Street, then into the Burnaby Lake Park north trail through to the nature house.  From there the four ran north on Piper Avenue, east on Government Road to Brighton Avenue. Week of May 27th

Four Cruisers:  RA Edie, Laura, Rod and Bobtoc’s route for the Monday run included the Stoney Creek trail to North Road, to Gilroy, then Chapman Ave to Robinson, crossing Clarke Road, continuing south to Ebert Avenue, west to North Road, into Sullivan Heights, south to Cameron Street then back to Cameron Centre.  The four enjoyed an EZ run, Distance 6+ km, time 55 minutes.  Weather, cloudy, some light rain near the end of the run. …

On Wednesday May 23, Libby and Larry were joined by Laura, who returned after some time off due to injury, and the trio ran/walked along the Stoney Creek trail, through to Stoney Creek Elementary, up across the Gaglardi overpass, up the Forest Grove hill, said hello to Adele and Tian who were out walking, passed by them and went on to Underhill, and returned along the trail behind Forest Grove school, down Forest Grove, along Beaverbrook Crescent and back to …

On Monday  RA Edie, Sherian and Bobtoc ran only 36 minutes Monday night, their route being the Stoney Creek trail to North Road, south on North to Mountview Street, west to the Lyndhurst Elementary School grounds, south to Willoughby Ave to return to Cameron Centre.  The weather was clear, hot and muggy not conducive to do any more!On Wednesday, RA Edie, Libby and Larry actually did some running and some walking, and did a slightly different route.  …

Week of May 7th

Five runners, plus Rob and Nancy, showed up Monday evening at the Centre.  Rob and Alex, both resplendent in their Vancouver Marathon shirts and medals, were photographed for posterity.  Both talked of their experiences.   Alex, RA Edie, Rene, Rod and Bobtoc showed up to run or walk.  Rene moved out before the others, did about 6 km per Alex who met Rene enroute.  The other four also moved west.  Alex started out walking, using Eastlake, …

Week of April 30th

Leo Liu and daughter Lotus, a grade 3 pupil at Cameron Elementary School, joined RA Edie, Alex, Rod and Bobtoc Monday on a spring evening to run from Cameron Centre.  The six ran west on the usual route toward what we call the IGA corner.  Leo and Lotus ran to Eastlake and Underhill before returning, their total distance 4:2 km .  Alex departed from John Stanton’s book which called for a 6 km race pace; instead ran, including warm up …

Sublime was the weather, the trees, the dogs, leashed or unleashed, canines or humans Monday 8:00 am at Mundy Park. Alex, RA Edie, Larry, Laura and Bobtoc took a leisurely 4:14 k run/walk on the Perimeter trail on a sunny but cool at first day. The park was well-used by runners, walkers, dogs and owners.
