Cameron Cruisers Club

Six  Cruisers  met at the Centre Monday on a warm muggy evening and ran or walked to Joe’s trail to North Road.  Carla, Edie, Shiraz and Bob returned via the same route, timr 58.25.  Lynn and Al returned from North Road and Joe’s trail via North Road north to Cameron Centre, time, 51.58, distance 5.83 km.  The Fields can move!  

 Ten Cruisers  met at Rocky Point Saturday on a salubrious morning around 8.15, some having carpooled from the Centre.  Six runners: RA Edie, Gina, Larry, Rod, Shiraz and Bobtock  ran 14.2 km from the Point to the turnoff to White Pine Beach of Sasamat Lake, time 1.58.  Four Cruisers: Lynn and Al, Leanne Dalton and Ros Muir walked or ran- walked from the Point to the north side to the Old Orchard Beach and return, …

 Twelve Cruisers  met at the Centre Wednesday evening for hill repeats on North Road.  Walkers Lynn and Al did 3x, covered 6.44 km including the walk to North Road and back, taking with them runners Edie, Joy , Roz Muir and Edie, who also did a number of hill repeats.  Val and Tracy ran some SFU trails, did some hill repeats, then joined Rod, Larry, who did 6x, Bob and Libby who did 4x, also …

Leanne Dalton and Bobtoc welcomed Lynn and Al Field, “graduate” walkers from the Cameron Centre Sun Run Clinic to Burnaby Lake Monday on a rainy evening. The four apparently missed Edie by a heartbeat, having started off before she saw the foursome.  Our loss, Edie.  The four ran or walked to Deer Lake via Sprott, Norland, into the Deer Lake park area, then circumvented anti-clockwise the trail around the lake, utilizing the newer trail on …

Seven Cruisers:  Edie, Laurie, Ryan, Sharon and Bobtoc ran 17.9 km, and Joy Borgonia and Leanne Dalton ran well for one hour, half hour out and half hour return.  The seven ran from the Centre to the north trail of Burnaby Lake Park, Joy and Leanne turning back well west of the Nature House for their hour, and the other five ran to the old Sperling Road to the new trail which ends at Douglas …

On Monday  May 11 four Cruisers turned up at the Centre.  Carla, Gina, Rod and Bobtec ran to Joe’s trail, continued through to Hume Park, hen along the road up the hill past the dog run area and the lacrosse box; distance 9.3 km, time out, 1.06.  The four also enjoyed perfect weather; warm, breeze from the west, partially cloudy skies, best night of the year.  

Mothers’ Day Run in Port Moody Several Cruisers came to run a 5k loop on the Foreshore Park trail and along Alderside on a beautiful sunny Sunday morning.  The run was put on by the Phoenix Running Club.   Norman came in at 21:35 and Debra won 2nd in her age group behind Ruby.  Cruisers are Edie, Leanne, Laurie, Norman, Debra & Chris (another runner in the works) along with their son, Tyler, his friend …

Stormin’ Norman tears up the streets of Vancouver TOP GUN PILOT, ROD Rod was contemplating some hill work on Mt. Shasta, but changed his mind. That is one effen hill! Speaking of Flying…………..
