On Monday evening Liane, Kevin, Rod, Glenn, Beenda, and Larry met at the mall and walked along the Stoney Creek trail to North Road and back.
Our distance 5 km and time range from t50 minutes to 1h10. It was a cloudy, coolish night but still great for a walk.

On Saturday morning Edie, Kevin, Liane and Larry met at Shadbolt Centre parking lot and walked around the Deer Lake trail. It was a beautiful sunny morning, starting out a bit chilly but warming up steadily so we could sit for a while and enjoy the sun after our walk.
Our distance was just over 5 km and our walk time was about 1h15. The beach area had a canoeing training event going on, and there were lots of runners there too. Lots of activity going on.
Meanwhile, Flora jogged 5.3 km with the Fit First group at Christine Sinclair Centre, her run time 54 minutes.

On Wednesday evening Kevin, Brigitte, Liane, Rodrigo, Glenn, Brenda, Flora, and Larry walked through Keswick Park and over to Halston, Government, Eastlake trail, Eastlake Park, Cameron, and back to the mall.
Distance about 5 km and time about 1 hour. Another great spring weather evening.

On Monday evening Kevin, Brigitte, Liane, Rod, Glenn, Brenda, and Larry walked the Stoney Creek trail, with Glenn, Rod, and Liane going to North Road, distance 5 km, and the others turning back at the Como Lake overpass, distance close to 4 km.
We all finished in about an hour. It was almost summer-like weather, sunny and warm.

On Saturday Edie, Liane, Kevin, Flora, Alex, René, and Larry met at Rocky Point and walked to Old Orchard Park and returned, distance about 6 km, while Liane and René continued along Alderside to Ioco Road and then returned, their distance about 10 km. We were joined for ice cream after by Eoin and Laura who had done their own walk route. It was a beautiful sunny spring morning.
On Sunday the Sun Run saw Alex, Flora, and Sherian. I could not find a run time for Rachel. The results for Alex, Flora, and Sherian are:
- Sherian 1h18:05 -> 5th in the F80-84 group
- Flora 1h28:51 in the F60-64 group
- Alex 1h23:05 -> 11th in the M80-84 group
A real inspiration and remarkable results for Sherian and Alex in their groups, and great run times for all three!

On Wednesday evening I’m not sure who all was there but Brigitte, Brenda and Liane detoured to get out of the rain, so I gather that it was a shorter walk.

On Monday evening René, Rod, Kevin, Liane, Brenda, Glenn, Flora, and Larry met at the mall and walked the Stoney Creek trail to North Road and returned, with Larry, Rod Kevin and Glenn turning back before North Road, distance for the group about 5 km and time about 1 hour.
The weather was good but a bit chillier than last week.

On Saturday morning Len with Jax, René, Liane, Edie, Kevin, Shiraz, and Larry met at Christine Sinclair Centre and walked the paved trail alongside the Skytrain route. We observed that the new Holdom overpass structure looked like it was complete, and the next step is to prepare to reroute the roads, which will take some time.
Our distance was about 5.3 km, thanks Shiraz for the stats, and our time was about 1h15. We had coffee afterward with Flora, who jogged 8 km with the Fit First group, preparing for the Sun Run.

On Wednesday evening Len, Brenda, Glenn, Edie, René, Hazra, Rod, Flora and Larry met at the mall and walked down through to Keswick Park, up Cardston, along Halston to Government, Eastlake trail, Eastlake Park, Cameron and back to the mall, distance about 4.5 km and time about 50 minutes.
Larry and Edie took a shorter route and walked back to the mall from Keswick Park.
Gorgeous sunny weather!

On Monday evening Len with Jax, Sandy, Hazra and Rod met at the mall and walked 3.6 km in a time of 54 minutes. Thanks to Len for the stats.
On Monday during the day Flora, Kevin, Edie and Rachel walked from Science World along Granville Island. Thanks to Flora and Edie for the reports.
Also Brenda, Glenn, Brigitte and Liane were hiking or snowshoeing on Monday.

On Saturday morning Shiraz, René, Kevin, Edie, Liane, Hazra, Rod, and Larry met at the Bby mountain golf course and walked a modified urban trail route along Kitchener to Sperling, then Sperling to Union and returned on the trail on Sherlock, then to Duthie and Greystone and back to the golf course, where we enjoyed coffee outside in the beautiful sunshine with Laura and Eoin, who had done a walk as well.
Our walk distance was about 5.5 km and walk time was about 1h20.

On Monday evening Edie, Brigitte, Liane, Brenda, Glenn, Kevin, Rod, Alex, and Larry met at the mall and walked along Beaverbrook, crossed the Gaglardi overpass and continued on the lower part of Forest Grove Drive, down Production Way to Eastlake, and back through Eastlake Park and Cameron.
Distance was about 5.5 km, and time varied from 1 hour to 1h15. Alex jogged before the walk so his distance was longer. It was a nice sunny evening.
