On Saturday morning Larry, Edie, Flora, and Len with Jax walked from the Coronado Drive parking lot around the Phillips-Montecito area, along Phillips, Halifax, Duthie, and back to Coronado, distance 1.68 km and time 34 minutes according to Edie’s tracker.

On Wednesday evening Flora, Ross, Glenn, Brenda, Brigitte, and Liane walked around the Coquitlam area near Smith Ave. and North Road, distance 4.94 km and time 1h16. The skies were clear and the air was better too.

On Monday evening all the ducks were in a row as Edie, Brenda and Glenn walked by the duck pond in the Lougheed Village area and continued to the Stoney Creek trail, their distance 5.76km and time of 1h29, according to Edie’s app.

On Saturday morning Larry, Liane, and Edie walked from the Coronado Drive parking lot around the Phillips-Montecito area, and were later joined by Eoin and Laura with Lucky. The group walked about 1 km, then relaxed and chatted for a while, after which Larry went to rest, and the remainder of the group walked around the Burnaby Mrn. golf course, distance of 4.5 km in a time of 1h13.

Meanwhile Flora jogged the Parkrun at Mundy Park, her distance 5 km in a time of 44 minutes. Flora reports that Parkrun celebrated their 10th year in Canada with cake available.

On Wednesday evening the Cruisers were active in their outings. Brenda and Glenn had a lovely walk around the Cameron neighbourhood and Eastlake to Production Way and back, distance 5.28 km, time 1h09, while Flora, who arrived after Glenn and Brenda, walked around Keswick Park and Government, her distance 3.28.km.
Edie walked at Ioco and her route included the old Imperial Oil refinery’s “Pearly Gates”.
Alex jogged around the South Burnaby-Metrotown area, his distance 5.54 km and time 1h04.

On Wednesday evening René, Brenda, Glenn, Liane, Edie, and Brigitte walked along the Stoney Creek trail to North Road, where René, Liane, and Brenda continued up Jim’s Jungle trail to the powerline trail, then came down North Road trail back to Stoney Creek, while Edie, Brigitte, and Glenn returned along the Stoney Creek trail from North Road.
The group saw Norman Lum with his new pup Rusty, 6 months old, and cute. Distance for the mountain climbers was 6.5 km and time about 1h30, and for the Stoney Creek trail walkers was 5.5 km and about 1h15.
The group sat and relaxed after in the mall. Larry came out to say hello but did not walk – recovery time needed. Thanks to Edie for her report!

On Monday evening Glenn, Brenda, Edie and Sangeeta walked to Keswick Park, through the Eastlake-Stoney Creek trail and through Eastlake Park, then at Sangeeta’s suggestion turned left at the end of the overpass and took the trail by the community gardens, then Glenn, Brenda and Edie went back up Cameron and back to the mall, distance 4 km and time 1h05. Interesting how routes taken that are “new” to the group.

On Saturday morning Edie, Flora, René, Eoin and Laura with Lucky, joined Larry for a walk for a few blocks around the Montecito neighbourhood on a pleasant day. We sat and talked for a bit after too, which was enjoyable. Total walk time was about 20 minutes.
From Ivan: Ivan participated in the SeaWheeze half-marathon; had to walk/run it due to an injured knee. It was a very sunny and warm day with air quality clearing slightly compared to previous days. Time: 3h 18m
On Wednesday evening Brenda, Glenn, and Edie walked about 5.5 km on the Stoney Creek trail in a time of about 70 minutes. It was a warm evening but the air quality was good.

I think there were some Cruisers who walked on Wednesday evening – Brenda, Glenn, and Edie indicated they were, and perhaps others, who were going to walk the Stoney Creek trail where it was hopefully cooler and the air was cleaner.
