Seven Cruisers  met at the Burnaby Lake parking lot  at 8.00 Saturday on a cloudless morning, destined to be a hot one.  Ros Muir ran from the parking lot with the other six along the new trail from the old Sperling Road to Douglas Road, then veered north solo to Goring Avenue, then east on the Lougheed Highway using the bike path and returned to the parking lot, 50 minutes, and beat the heat.  The …

Seven Cruisers  met at the Burnaby North Secondary School  track Wednesday 6.30ish on a very warm evening.  Al and Lynn walked 5.2 and 5.6 km respectively, time 57 minutes for Lynn, a bit less for Al.  Runners Rod, Larry, Gina, Stormin’ Norman and Bobtoc did some speed work.  Rod did 28 laps, the others less since Rod arrived on the scene at 6.00 pm and got right to the task at hand.  Time for Rod, …

Six  Cruisers  met at the Centre Monday on a warm muggy evening and ran or walked to Joe’s trail to North Road.  Carla, Edie, Shiraz and Bob returned via the same route, timr 58.25.  Lynn and Al returned from North Road and Joe’s trail via North Road north to Cameron Centre, time, 51.58, distance 5.83 km.  The Fields can move!  

 Ten Cruisers  met at Rocky Point Saturday on a salubrious morning around 8.15, some having carpooled from the Centre.  Six runners: RA Edie, Gina, Larry, Rod, Shiraz and Bobtock  ran 14.2 km from the Point to the turnoff to White Pine Beach of Sasamat Lake, time 1.58.  Four Cruisers: Lynn and Al, Leanne Dalton and Ros Muir walked or ran- walked from the Point to the north side to the Old Orchard Beach and return, …

Leanne Dalton and Bobtoc welcomed Lynn and Al Field, “graduate” walkers from the Cameron Centre Sun Run Clinic to Burnaby Lake Monday on a rainy evening.
