Six Cruisers:  Tracy, Gina and Larry led the way for RA Edie, Libby and Bobtoc on a hilly route, starting from the Centre west and north via Beaverbrook up and over  the Gaglardi pedestrian overpass to Forest Grove Drive, up that hill to Underhill to Shellmont, down Shellmont into the Forest Hills subdivision to Greystone, Broadway and return.  Time out, 1 hour, distance, 9 km.  The six enjoyed relatively warm weather, clouds and sun, the …

Monday May 11th

On Monday  May 11 four Cruisers turned up at the Centre.  Carla, Gina, Rod and Bobtec ran to Joe’s trail, continued through to Hume Park, hen along the road up the hill past the dog run area and the lacrosse box; distance 9.3 km, time out, 1.06.  The four also enjoyed perfect weather; warm, breeze from the west, partially cloudy skies, best night of the year.

Mothers’ Day Run May 10th

Mothers’ Day Run in Port Moody Several Cruisers came to run a 5k loop on the Foreshore Park trail and along Alderside on a beautiful sunny Sunday morning.  The run was put on by the Phoenix Running Club.   Norman came in at 21:35 and Debra won 2nd in her age group behind Ruby.  Cruisers are Edie, Leanne, Laurie, Norman, Debra & Chris (another runner in the works) along with their son, Tyler, his friend …

Stormin’ Norman tears up the streets of Vancouver TOP GUN PILOT, ROD Rod was contemplating some hill work on Mt. Shasta, but changed his mind. That is one effen hill! Speaking of Flying………….. Saturday May 9th

Sharon doing her part to clean up the environment! Cruisers were busy on the weekend, with two shifts running from the Centre Saturday, due to the error of Bobtheolderchap mis-stating the time of departure, which should have been the usual 8.00 am instead of 8.30 am typed into the newsletter.  Gina, Larry and Bob set off at 8.00 am to Burnaby Lake via Cameron Street to Beaverbrook, south to Government Street then into the north …

Saturday May 2nd – Rocky Point
